Calgary Art Gallery, Mull

  • by

I’m absolutely delighted to annouce that a selection of my Mull-inspired pieces are now available at the lovely Calgary Art Gallery on Mull. I’ve been visiting both Mull and the gallery for over 10 years now, and I am so excited and thrilled to have my work accepted here. There are some really amazing artists here, a number of whom I’m lucky enough to know, and I’m so thrilled to be joining them in the gallery.

The gallery is very close both to Calgary Bay (in fact, a number of the paths around the sculpture park overlook the bay) and also Langamull, which is the special beach which inspired my barnacle work.

In addition to my barnacle range, the gallery has a selection of some of my raku work, and also my swimming mugs.

I’ve just got back from my second trip to Mull this year with lots more ideas. It really is a magical place.

PS There’s a great cafe just next door to the gallery too. Although don’t do what I did last year, which was wander out dreamily and forget to pay!! Luckily the staff reminded me before I’d gone too far, but I was mortified at the time (and still a bit mortified now). This year’s team were probably baffled by my desire to pay with my order!
