My name is Helen, and I specialize in wheel-thrown ceramics which I make in the Eden Valley. As a keen open water swimmer, I call myself Ullswater Ceramics after the lake in which you can usually find me! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;d like to see what I&#8217;m up to pottery-wise (and also swimming-wise) you can find me on Instagram @ullswaterceramics. This site only has a small selection of the items that I do and is not updated as often as it should be. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If anything catches your eye, or your have an idea for a commission, please get in touch by email at <a href=\"mailto:info@ullswaterceramics.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">info@ullswaterceramics.com<\/a> or via social media. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where to find my work<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.interludeceramics.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Interlude Ceramics<\/a>, Brougham Hall, Penrith, just a couple of miles from junction 40 of the M6. I learned to throw here with the amazing Mary Chappelhow and have a selection of my ranges available here including my swimming mugs, Ullswater mugs, copper green range and my raku pears.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/calgarygallery.co.uk\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/calgarygallery.co.uk\/\">Calgary Art Gallary<\/a>, Calgary (near Dervaig) on the Isle of Mull. This gorgeous gallery is only a few miles from Langamull, which is a really special place that has inspired a lot of my work. You can find my Langamull barnacle range, my sea urchins and my swimming mugs here. [Please note Calgary Gallery will be closed from 31 October 2025 &#8211; reopening in April 2026].<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ullswaterswimplace.com\">Ullswater Swim Place<\/a>, Another Place, Watermillock, Ullswater CA11 0LP. You can find my swimming mugs in Colin&#8217;s excellent swim shop, next to Another Place hotel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.themakersmill.co.uk\/\">Makers Mill, Keswick<\/a>. This amazing place is a mix of gallery and studio space, and they do workshops too.
